The Application Of GIS Mapping In High School Geography Education

The Geography has comprehensive and regional characteristics.Along with the advancement of new curriculum reform,cultivating the students’ geographic core literacy is a major task of middle school geography teaching,besides,the new curriculum reform has also taken the application of information technology in geography learning as one of its basic ideas.GIS has the dynamic and intuitive characteristics,therefore,the combination of GIS mapping technique with high-school geography teaching can not only help to cultivate the students’ geographic core literacy but also to improve teachers’own professional literacy.Based on GIS mapping technology,this paper firstly analyzes the current application situation and characteristics of GIS research in teaching by consulting a large number of documents.Secondly,it analyzes the basis of GIS mapping technology in middle school geography teaching,and studies the application of GIS mapping technology in middle school geography teaching through teaching cases.Finally,it evaluates the application effect of GIS technology in middle school geography teaching by teaching comparison experiment.This article discusses from the following five parts.The first part is the introduction of this thesis,which mainly analyzes the research background.The second part analyzes the application of GIS mapping technology in the geography teaching in middle school.The third part and the fourth part are the main body of this article.In the third part,it is mainly about how to combine the GIS teaching plan with teaching practice,as well as with the actual teaching cases;The fourth part compares the traditional teaching mode with the teaching mode of GIS mapping,trying to evaluate the teaching effect.The fifth part is about the summary and prospect.
