The demand for professional development is the internal driving force for the professional development of teachers.On the one hand,novice teachers as an important reserve force for kindergartens,play a key role in improving the quality of early childhood education.On the other hand,the study of the professional development needs of novice teachers not only helps to promote their professional development,but also for novice teachers to provide pre-service and post-employment training.At present,the demand for professional development of teachers has become a research hotspot for researchers.However,research on the status of professional development needs of novice teachers for kindergarten is still rare.Therefore,this study uses the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to investigate the novice teachers in Huaibei as the research object,investigate the current situation of their professional development needs,and on this basis,put forward effective and effective countermeasures and suggestions that can promote their professional development.The study is divided into five parts:The first part introduces the research reason,research significance and research summary.The second part introduces the research purpose,research content,research methods and research tools.The third part mainly analyzes the professional development demand of kindergarten novice teachers in Huaibei from the aspects of professional literacy needs,professional development methods and external emotional support needs,and analyzes the influencing factors.The results found that: The professional concepts and morality that novice teachers in Huaibei most need are to protect the safety of children’s lives,to respect individual differences among children,and to respect children’s personalities.The most needed kinds of professional knowledge are: the knowledge of physical and mental development characteristics and laws of young children of different ages,the methods of child safety protection and assistance,art appreciation and performance knowledge;the most needed professional skills are: Children’s ability to make game materials and play aids,ability to organize and arrange all aspects of a day’s activities,the ability to flexibly adjust the contents of teaching or teaching organization according to the performance and needs of children,and use a variety of ways to comprehensively understand and evaluate young children’s Ability,ability to communicate and collaborate with parents,ability to reflect on teaching issues and their strategies.The most needed professional development approach is to participate in teacher training,mentoring and teaching and research activities.In terms of external emotional support,they need parent’s understanding and support.The fourth part analyzes the influencing factors of the professional development needs of kindergarten teachers in Huaibei.The results found that: The three factors that have the greatest influence are: parents’ expectations and requirements,kindergarten’s policies on supporting and motivating teachers’ professional development,kindergarten requirements and evaluation.That is,the professional development needs of novice kindergarten teachers are more influenced by parents and kindergartens.The fifth part mainly proposes the promotion to promoting professional development of kindergarten novice teachers based on research results from the aspects of strengthening self-directed learning,professional training taking into account overall needs and individual needs,providing diverse professional development methods,strengthening communication between novice teachers and parents and garden leaders,and raising salary.
