Cultivating students' scientific literacy and helping students understand the essence of science is one of the goals of science education.Integrating geography history into geography education is of great significance to improve geography literacy and understand the essence of geography subject.As an important carrier of geography curriculum,geography textbook is the main basis for teachers to conduct geography teaching.Therefore,studying the geography history in geography textbooks is of great value.This article mainly consists of six chapters: Chapter 1 the research background,domestic and foreign research status and research methods.Chapter 2 define the relevant concepts and explain the theoretical basis.Chapter 3 the use of content comparison model,from four aspects combing,analysis and summary the geography history in different periods' senior high school geography textbooks,and finally came to the evolution trend.Chapter 4 through the interview and analysis to teachers,we can understand teachers' understanding and utilization of the geography history,and obtain teachers' views and opinions on the geography history in the geography textbooks.Chapter 5 synthesize the evolution trend and the opinions of teachers,provide some suggestions for the compilation and use of textbooks in the future.Chapter 6 summing up the discussion,draw the conclusion of this article and reflect on the research.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: geography history in geography textbooks has different development levels on the quantity,presentation,from and position of the contents in different periods.There is a gradual increase in quantity,a further enrichment in content,no obvious change in the form of expression,but a reasonable structure of text and charts,which is widely covered by all columns.The overall trend of evolution is more suit with the needs of students' learning.The content of geography history in textbooks is too fragmented,teachers' understanding and utilization of geography history is insufficient,and the value of subject an education has not been deeply explores.Therefore,the textbook writers should add more valuable geography history content,descrip more detailes of classical scientific figures.Pay attention to the present form and set up the special column of geography history,then add the limited content of geography history appropriately.Teachers should take a variety of mean to make use of the geography history to conduct teaching activities,fully explore the history of geography,develop the corresponding geography curriculum resources,and guide students to retrace the path of geographical discovery.
