With the acceleration of the process of social modernization,the problem of liquidity and solidification of the social stratum in our country has gradually emerged.Education is an important channel for the vertical mobility of all social strata,and education equity serves as the basis for social equity.But nowadays,under the education system of our country,individuals play a major role in the process of their own education and achievement of academic achievement.They no longer rely on their own congenital factors and acquired abilities,and family social capital also plays a major role in it.The role.This phenomenon of unfair education caused by family factors gradually makes the whole society pay more attention to the impact of family social capital on the educational level of children.At the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,"Efforts have been made to ensure that every child enjoys fair and quality education." The academic community has gradually increased the research on the impact of family social capital on children's education.This article uses the related theory and research of social capital to combine the social capital theory of Bourdieu,Coleman and Linnan,and divides the family social capital into the parental occupational level,family social status and family spending.The family's internal capital consists of the family's external social capital and the number of children in the family,the child's confidence in the parents,and the amount of family books.This article uses WLS regression to analyze the impact of family social capital on the educational level of children under the characteristics of urban and rural areas and gender.This paper obtains four basic conclusions through empirical analysis:(1)The father's occupational hierarchy determines the highest level of education received by the offspring,and the mother's occupational hierarchy determines the minimum level of education received by the offspring.(2)The richer the family's external social capital is,the higher the educational attainment of the offspring is,and the difference between the family social capital of the urban and rural areas and the educational level of the children is significantly different.(3)The richer the social capital within the family,the higher the education level of the children,and the influence of the educational level of the female sample is greater than that of the male.(4)The social capital of one-child family has greater influence on the educational level of their children than non-detached families.Finally,based on the conclusions obtained from empirical analysis,this paper proposes policy suggestions for fair education in China from the perspectives of macro government policies,micro-home-school cooperation and diversified social services.
