As the curriculum reform of elementary education deepens,the program structure for ideological and political courses has been further optimized.Accordingly,teaching pays more attention to students’ experience while evaluation lays more emphasis on process.In line with the fundamental tasks of setting high moral values and cultivating people delivered at the 18th National Congress,the new curriculum standards present the state will and the core socialist values in the activity lessons of ideological and political courses,aiming to establish activity-type disciplines directed by fostering core values.The learning process assessment evaluates a student’s learning procedures through the entire progression which fits in with characters of the activity lessons in ideological and political courses of senior high school.The theoretical studies on the applications of learning process assessment in ideological and political courses not only enrich the teaching evaluations of senior high school but also contribute to the cultivation and promotion of students’ discipline core values.The learning process assessment of ideological and political courses in senior high school is still in an evolutionary stage and requires further improvement.Based on theoretical studies and case analyses,as well as our experiences during the internship,we realize a variety of issues in the learning process assessment of ideological and political courses of senior high school,including ambiguous assessment standards,disordered assessment systems,restricted assessment methods,book-learning-oriented assessment contents and incomplete assessment conditions following evaluation recommendations.The main reasons for these include the complexity of ideological and political course of senior high school,the lack of a scientific assessment indicator system and an improved environment as well as the biased comprehensions of the learning process assessment.To address these concerns regarding the learning process assessment of ideological and political courses in senior high school,we propose some solutions,such as strengthening researches of the learning process assessment,upgrading assessment competence of the faculty,designing schemes of the learning content assessment meticulously,improving the environment of process assessment,etc.,to provide effective measures for the assessment of students’ ideological and political quality.
