The ideological and political course in senior high school is the main channel and main position of the ideological and political education in senior high school.It is the key course to implement the fundamental tasks of strengthening moral education and cultivating people.It aims at imparting cultural knowledge in economics,politics,culture and philosophy,guiding students to foster correct outlooks on the world,life and values,enhancing students' political quality and moral quality,and even cultivating qualified citizens.The realization of the multiple goals in the ideological and political course depends on students ' dynamic state and proactiveness in learning the course.When students are proactive and motivated in the course,it is easy to achieve good teaching results.Instead,if the students are not motivated and positive enough in the course,the learning effect will be greatly reduced.Therefore,it can be seen that the motivation of learning is the main factor affecting the learning effect of high school ideological and political courses,which is precisely what this thesis wants to study.Based on literature research method,questionnaire method,interview method and attending lecture method,the author randomly selects the senior high school students from four schools in Guilin,Guangxi as the research object,and objectively and truly investigates the current situation of learning motivation of the ideological and political courses in Guilin.It is found that nowadays,most high school students recognize the value of ideological and political courses and care about current politic affairs.Their learning channels for studying ideological and political courses are increasingly diversified.However,some students ' leaning motivation for ideological and political courses are insufficient.Their low learning motivations are represented in the following aspects: students' irritability,low classroom participation,improper learning style,poor learning results,low sense of achievement,etc,which hinders the realization of the values of ideological and politics courses to some extent.Aiming at these reasons,this thesisexplores from the various dimensions of internal motivation and external motivation.First of all,from the macroscopic point of view,the imperfect education selection mechanism and the increasingly complex social environment hinder students' study of ideological and political courses.Secondly,some external factors also affect students ' motivations for learning ideological and political courses,such as the lack of attention and a scientific evaluation system for ideological and political courses,the imbalance of teacher's knowledge structure,monotonous teaching methods,the lack of personal fascination,parents' traditional opinions and wrong behaviour modal.Finally,in the aspects of students themselves,the main reasons for low motivation in class are that the purpose of learning is utilitarian,the relevant knowledge reserves are insufficient,and their biased understanding of this subject.In view of the above problems and their causes,the author attempts to propose some countermeasures to improve the students' motivations for high school ideological and political courses.Firstly,improve motivation through external factors,for example,we should deepen the reform of education system and build a good social environment to mobilize students' enthusiasm for learning,improve the teaching management of ideological and political courses in schools,improve the comprehensive quality of teachers in ideological and political courses,and create a harmonious family moral education environment.And then,the students should strengthen their leaning in ideological and political courses to stimulate their internal motivations.The combination of internal motivation and external motivation will comprehensively enhance senior high school students' learning motivation on ideological and political courses.
