Parents' language guidance methods are of great significance to children's development.Some studies have found that parental guidance methods influence children's problem solving ability,classroom self-discipline behavior,and reasoning ability.This study divides parental guidance into five dimensions(There are 16 subcategories in 5 dimensions):Other rules and Negative controls,Teaching,Compliments,Modeling,and Other languages to examine its mathematical metacognition of children(metacognitive knowledge,offline metacognition,online metacognition,metacognitive total score).Data were collected through observation of video,transcription,coding,and test methods.Quantitative analysis was conducted to explore the differences in parental guidance methods between children's gender and age,parental guidance methods and children's metacognition,and differences in parental guidance methods on children's mathematical metacognitive differences.Based on the compilation of domestic and foreign literature,49 pairs(26 in 4-5 years,23 in 5-6 years old,27 boys,22 girls),4-5 years old and 5-6 years old children-parents Videotape,transcription of the video,classification of parental guidance languages,using a coding system developed by Adam Winsler et al.(Winsler,Diaz,McCarthy,Atencio & Chabay,1999),and The metacognitive test was conducted on these 49 children using the “Mature Metacognition Handbook for Children 4-6 Years Old” and SPSS 21.0 was used for statistics and analysis.The conclusions of the study are as follows:1.There is no significant difference in the gender and age of children in parental guidance.2.There is a significant positive correlation between Praise in parental guidance and children's metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive scores.There is a significant positive correlation between Praised tasks and metacognitive knowledge.Praise of the child's character and metacognitive knowledge,There is a significant positive correlation.There is a significant positive correlation between the Praise of the child's actions and metacognitive knowledge and total metacognition.There is a significant positive correlation between Unconditional praise and online metacognitive and metacognitive total scores.There is a significant negative correlation between parents' Self-evaluations and total metacognition.3.The different levels of praise in parental guidance methods have significant differences in the total score of metacognition.Parents have higher Praise for children and children have higher total metacognition.There are also significant differences in online metacognition.Parents Children's Praise is higher,and children's online meta-cognition is lower.Different levels of Praise of the child's character have significant differences in metacognitive knowledge.Parents Praise of the child's higher character and children's meta-cognitive knowledge is higher.There is a significant difference in the total metacognitive scores of children with different levels of Unconditional praise.Parents have higher levels of Unconditional praise for children and children have higher total metacognition.In order to improve parental guidance,parents should do the following: First,Parents must praise children in a timely manner;second,parents should not excessively control children;third,parents should provide teaching support for children;Fourth,parents should provide modeling support for children.Fifth,parents should minimize languages that are not related to tasks.
