"Non-continuous text",as a new type of text,entered the language education sessions with the participation of Shanghai students in the PISA test in 2009.In 2011,the Ministry of Education formally promulgated the "compulsory language curriculum standard(2011 Edition)".The "Non-continuous text" was first written into the language curriculum standard,and the objectives and requirements for the non-continuous text reading in the third and fourth sections were proposed.The third stage requires "reading a simple non-continuous text to identify valuable information from graphic and other combination materials." The fourth stage requires "reading a variety of material combinations,more complex non-continuous texts,can understand the meaning of the text,draw meaningful conclusions." Obviously,the reading of "non-continuous text" is beginning to be emphasized.This research is based on practice.Students,teachers,and textbooks are the subjects of the survey.By using the method of literature,questionnaire and interviews to find the existing problems in non-continuous text reading teaching.It also proposes improving the current Chinese non-continuous text reading teaching.The first chapter of this thesis is the introduction,which mainly puts forward the origin of the research,the definition of the core concepts,the purpose and significance of the research,the related research on non-continuous text and the teaching of non-continuous text at home and abroad as well as the main research ideas and methods of this thesis.The second chapter combs and explains constructivist learning theory,multiple intelligence theory and life education theory,which is the theoretical foundation of the paper.The third chapter is an analysis of the non-continuous text in Chinese primary class,mainly including the and characteristics and types of non-continuous text and the value of non-continuous text teaching in primary language.The fourth chapter investigates and analyses the current status of non-continuous text teaching in primary Chinese language.In the research process,the author begins with surveying through teacher’s interview,questionnaire investigation and analysing,etc.,to obtain the actual data.The questionnaire is conducted among 320 students in the fifth and sixth grades of the three elementary schools in Nantong city.The interviewees are nine Chinese language teachers in the three elementary schools.The writer also analyses the using situation of non-continuous text in primary school textbooks.In the process,the author finds that students lack the awareness and ability to read non-continuous text independently,Chinese teachers lack the guidence on the reading methods of non-continuous text and the current Chinese textbooks are not properly organised.The fifth chapter proposes own countermeasures and the suggestions about improving the efficiency of non-continuous text reading teaching on the basis of current situation from four aspects.Firstly,teachers should sharpen the awareness and improve the reading literacy of non-continuous text.Secondly,teachers ought to inspire students’ reading motivation.Thirdly,teachers should select suitable teaching content for the teaching work.Finally,teachers are suppose to choose appropriate teaching methods for the teaching of Chinese reading. |
