With the rapid development of economic society,the living standards improve at the same time,the spirit of the pressure from the fast pace of life is becoming more and more big,mental illness outbreak rate is rising gradually,most of the patients with mental disorders are widespread serious social dysfunction.As the disadvantaged group of society,the patients with mental disorder need the care from all aspects of society,especially the active involvement of professional medical social workers.with the professional values of helping others and the concept of people-oriented service,Social work promotes the social function of patients with mental disorders.The case service object of this paper comes from the mental disorder patients that social workers contact during the internship in the mental health department of shenzhen L hospital.Social workers in social support theory,advantage theory on the basis of professional social work theory,through the method of participatory observation and unstructured interviews on an interview to the service object and their families,and use listening,empathy and other professional skills and service object to establish a good professional relationship,go deep into the patient's family and social life,fully understand the source of the problem and available resources,help the service object digging their own potential,and expand the service support platform.From the perspective of professional social work for the service object,the confidence of the service object has been greatly enhanced,the interpersonal communication ability has been improved,the social function has been greatly improved,and finally integrated into the normal family and social life.
