A Study On Recovery Of Patients With Mental Disorders Intervened By Case Work From Strengths Perspective

With the rapid development of today’s society and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,due to the accelerated pace of life,people are facing more and more mental pressure,resulting in a rise in the number of patients with mental disorders.As a vulnerable group in society,patients with mental disorders need care from all walks of life.As an emerging field of work,social work plays an important role in the recovery of patients with mental disorders through its professional methods,its professional philosophy of helping others and self-help as well as its core values of altruism.This article takes L patient of X clubhouse in Changsha City of Hunan Province as an example.Based on strengths perspective,social worker took the method of case work to carry out targeted intervention for patient.Firstly,systematically organized,collected and analyzed the existing literature by understanding the related knowledge of recovery of patients and the research status at home and abroad.On the basis of the literature,social worker used semi-structured interviews and participatory observation to conduct interviews with patient and his family,went deep into service in the life situation of the object,collected and understood the basic situation of the service object,discovered his needs and problems.Secondly,excavated his advantageous resources,formulated a personalized service plan for the improvement of the his social function from social work perspective,promoted recovery from the physical,psychological and social levels.Through the implementation of the case service,the self-confidence of the patient has been significantly enhanced,his interpersonal skills have been significantly improved,his enthusiasm for life has been improved and his social functions have been greatly improved.The study found that the intervention of professional case social work has demonstrated significant advantages and effects in the field of rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders,and is of great significance to the treatment of mental disorders.Social worker should draw lessons from experience based on this practice,strengthen professional learning,flexibly use knowledge and explore more and better ways to help patients return to society as soon as possible.
