The Research On Modes And Mechanisms Of Network Public Opinion Purification

With the rapid update of informational technology,the Internet has become a virtual public sphere in which people participate in political life and express their opinions and attitudes.Due to the high efficiency and transparency of the Internet's communication,many events are known by the public through the Internet and meanwhile bombards the Internet one after another.When the public events comes with the violation of social mainstream values and stated moral framework,it is inclined to cause public opinion crises.In the face of endless emergencies of the Internet public opinion events,the questions how to resolve the contradictions in the public opinion events thus resulting in the purification of the Internet public opinion crises has become a heated topic in the current public opinion research on the Internet,and it is,as well an inevitable issue for the government to supervise and manage the Internet public opinion.This dissertation,comprehensively using the literature research method,the case study method,and the mathematical statistics method,analyzes and studies the stated Internet public opinion events from both empirical and theoretical perspectives.This dissertation firstly collects relevant reports and comments of 124 online public opinion events on the Weibo platform in the duration of past 8 years,based on which a bubble graph is made according to the time sequence and the linear fitting analysis is conducted.Ultimately,a linear fitting curve of the trend of public opinion events is illustrated.Whether the public event is purified can be evaluated by the slope of the linear fitting curve,rooted in which the judging criteria of the purification of Internet public events can be deduced integrated with the nodes of all event samples.The judging criteria of the public opinion purification based on the evolutional process mainly include: information delay,comment decline,sphere evanishment;The judging criteria of the public opinion purification based on the value actualization mainly include: the consensus of public sentiment and cognition,the resolution of conflicts in events,the redress of social morality and value.Through clustering the network public opinion event samples,it is concluded that the purification modes of the Internet public opinion can be basically categorized into two: the “exogenous power” public opinion purification mode and the “endogenous power” public opinion purification mode,among which the “exogenous power” network public opinion purification mode includes compulsory purification mode and induced purification mode,and "endogenous power" network public opinion purification mode includes linear purification and curve purification.In addition,this dissertation also analyzes the respective constitutive elements and their interactions within the dynamic mechanism,the catalytic mechanism,and the restriction mechanism of the Internet public opinion events purification.Among them,the dynamic mechanism mainly consists of three elements: the triggering subjects of public opinion events,participating subjects of public opinion events,and the Internet platform;the catalytic mechanism is also basically comprised of three elements: relevant governmental departments,professional media organizations,and judicial driving-force;the restriction mechanism is fundamentally made of rumors and gossip,malicious language attacks,and bygone related events.Finally,on the basis of the modes and mechanisms of public opinion events purification,suggestions and coping strategies over public opinion events are carried out respectively.Rooted in the modes of purification,it's suggested that the leading mechanism,the pre-warning mechanism,feedback mechanism,and instructive mechanism should be established and consolidated.Furthermore,fragmented reports should be supervised,information panorama-based reports should be encouraged,and the conflict of public opinion events should be resolved;based on the respective mechanisms of purification,it is urged that the triggering subjects of public opinion events declare their attitude,media literacy of the public be enhanced,Internet platform be supervised and controlled,and the mechanism of refuting rumors be set up.
