| With the continuous development of Internet technology,social media has gradually become the main platform for the development of public opinion,and the entire public opinion ecological environment also presents various characteristics.Under the influence of the COVID-19,various public opinion hot events occur frequently,and the phenomenon of public opinion reversal also continues to appear,which seriously affects the entire network public opinion environment and normal social order.This paper starts from various factors that affect the reversal of online public opinion,analyzes the correlation between them,explores the causes of the reversal of online public opinion,and analyzes the important factors,summarizes reasonable countermeasures,and reduces the possibility of the reversal of online public opinion and its negative impact.In terms of research methods,this paper uses qualitative comparative analysis(QCA),taking 30 cases of online public opinion reversal events from 2019 to 2022 as samples,and combining with the relevant literature and data of public opinion reversal,taking the five elements of news communication as the basic theory,and divides the explanatory variables into two aspects: "communication attribute" and "event attribute".On this basis,seven different factors affecting the public opinion reversal phenomenon are first extracted,namely,information source,public figure participation,information source form,platform influence,reversal factor,netizen appeal,and labeling.After assigning the explanatory variables,the condition combination of the two attributes under the joint action is obtained through QCA operation.Secondly,through the results of the comprehensive analysis of the communication attribute,event attribute and the results of the comprehensive analysis,we can find that the event attribute can better explain the generation of network public opinion reversal phenomenon than the communication attribute."Intervention of relevant departments" and "follow-up reports of the media" are the core factors that constitute the reversal of online public opinion;"Public figure participation" has a strong role in triggering this phenomenon;The four variables of "information source","information form","labeling" and "netizen appeal" play an auxiliary role in the reversal of online public opinion;The explanation of "platform influence" is relatively low.Finally,based on the formation mechanism of the reversal phenomenon of network public opinion,this paper puts forward countermeasures from four aspects:the government should actively intervene in relevant events to guide the network public opinion in time;Opinion leaders should standardize their own words and deeds and give play to positive guidance;The news media should strengthen information verification and adhere to objective reporting;The public should improve their discrimination and keep rational thinking. |
