Young people are the successors of the socialist rule of law of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Legal education for students at junior middle school stage,which is the best period of the cultivation of legal consciousness,can effectively lay a solid basis of the goal of "improving the whole nation of the legal literacy " and of the smooth construction of the country under the rule of law.As the main channel to cultivate the legal consciousness of junior middle school students,the teaching of Morality and Law of the new edition of junior middle school must adapt to the requirements of the legal system construction in the new era.The field investigation of three junior middle schools in Yue yang indicated that the Morality and Law course contributes to cultivate the legal consciousness of junior middle school students,but also cannot be ignored the problems existed as the unspecific legal consciousness cultivation's aims,lack of extracurricular legal practice sessions,as well as ineffective results.Through investigation and analysis,the main reasons creating these problems are closely related to the excessive attention of examination-oriented education,the simplicity of cultivation mode,the physical and mental development of the special stage of the junior middle school students,and the shortage of legal professionalism of teachers,along with a complicated and changeable legal consciousness cultivation environment.Hence,in order to improve these problems,countermeasures must be put forward as the followings: First,the teachers should implement their correct concepts based on the "student-oriented" to attach importance to students' knowledge,ability and emotional attitudes(three-dimensional integrated teaching pattern),with the combination of education on law and morality.Second,a novel multiple legal teaching mode should be attention to apply including reasonable application of class teaching,case teaching,and perceptive teaching.Third,it's also very necessary to develop students' consciousness as subjective under the rule of law,to improve teacher's professional quality on law,and to optimize the campus-social environment.Through the establishment and implementation of flexible and effective training mode,the students of junior middle school could study and understand law of our country and engaged their daily life in accordance with law;therefore they can be law-abiding and law-protecting.
