With the deepening of curriculum reform,"mathematics literacy" and "mathematics core literacy" have become a new hot spot."Mathematical Literacy" and "Mathematical Core Literacy" focus on the cultivation of students’ abilities,and practice is the mother of literacy.All rooted in the context.PISAA Program for International Student Assessment of International Student Assessment programs to measure Mathematics Literacy,It includes the examination of mathematics situational application ability,which also attracts our country’s attention.Mathematics is an important part of primary school curriculum.What is the level of mathematics situational application ability of primary school students in our country? What are the shortcomings? What are the influencing factors? Therefore,this study attempts to investigate the mathematics situational application ability of the senior grade students in primary schools at present,in order to improve the students’ situational application ability.The present situation of situational application ability of senior primary school students is investigated by questionnaires and interviews.Firstly,the questionnaire survey and interviews among mathematics teachers and students in a senior grade in Jinzhou City are carried out.Some problems existing in the mathematics situational application ability of the senior students in primary school,such as the lack of situational application ability,the bias towards familiar situational materials,the lack of cognition of situational knowledge,the lack of situational inquiry ability,the lack of situational application ability,and the lack of situational inquiry ability.The problem solving ability of mathematics in the situation is insufficient,and the transfer ability of the situation is lacking.Secondly,this research has a negative effect on teachers’ teaching,students’ own and exam-oriented education,and so on.Finally,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the mathematics situational application ability of the senior grade in primary school: mathematics teachers should improve the theoretical basis of their own situational application and improve their own mathematics literacy.The concept of evaluation should be changed from knowledge evaluation to situational application ability evaluation,and the creation of mathematical situational problems should focus on the cultivation of students’ mathematical ability,the creation of interdisciplinary real life situations and the cultivation of students’ situational application ability.Students to improve their own situational application ability,doing learning.
