Research On Social Work Intervention In The Emotional Support Of Urban Village Elders

After several years of development,although the X Urban Village,located in Guangzhou city,is still characterized as "urban village" in the administrative management,but it already has the general urban community hardware,software and the environment.However,the majority of the residents of X village by the villagers' transition,they miss the originally rural lifestyle at the same time,also inevitably affected by urban life,people are accustomed to such a community is classified as a village in the city.The village elders.unlike the younger ones,do not adapt to the changes in the family structure while not fully adapting to urban lifestyles,so they often feel boring and emotionless.Through the research on the current situation of the original and new emotional support in the urban village of X,the results show that there are more than 80%of the elders with different degree of emotional loss."Listening to their own troubles" has become the most anticipated service for the elders.Visible,emotional needs of the urban village elders are more significant,so social workers intervention is both necessary 'and feasible.This paper mainly studies the social support theory as the foundation,using the method of case social work to intervene the emotional support of urban village elders.The results show that,through effective case service,the potential and advantages of the case has been developed,the leisure life has become rich,interpersonal and family support have been enhanced,the negative mood of the case has improved significantly and the depressed emotions to release.In the process of talking and listening with social workers,the future of life has a new look forward to.Social work services,while alleviating the negative emotions of the elderly,also expanded its emotional support network,so that the elderly have a more solid emotional support network.This thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,including the research background and significance,research content,theoretical basis,research methods and research review;The second chapter mainly takes the X Urban Village elders as an example,analyzes the original and new emotional support system,and obtains the content of the emotional support service for the urban village elders;The third chapter mainly explores the method of using social work of case to intervene the emotional support of the urban village elders;The fourth chapter mainly puts forward the relevant research summary and suggestions.
