City Empty Nest Elderly Emotional Support Study Based On Case Social Work

With the advent of an aging society,the needs of the elderly caused wide attention of the society.Government constructed the social support network for the elderly community actively,but the support system focused on “financial support” is unable to avoid the issues of lack of emotional support among empty nesters.Based on such background,the author involved in emotional support problems of empty nesters by the method of conducting case study.The author selected an empty nester in T community of Wuhan as the service object,on the basis of the needs assessment,guided by the theory of ecological system,used the empty nester emotional support construction as the theme,conducted 17 times of case study of social work services.The author divided empty nesters emotional support into three stages,respectively are the micro system-improve self-awareness,middle system-develop personal relationships,the macro system-to explore the community support.Finally,on the basis of summary and discussion on the service effect,the author draw the conclusions: first,empty nesters have the demand of emotional support,the intervention of social work is advantageous to solve the problem of lack of emotional support to the empty nesters;Second,the empty nesters need emotional support from different subjects to have the advantage to construct emotional support network.However,the community the case subject is in has its own characteristics,whether this method can be promoted to other communities or not still need further investigation...
