It has been for six years with new teaching materials in teaching practice under the guide of new curriculum reform concept.One of the distinctive characteristics of new teaching materials,compared with previous teaching materials,is a series of abundant and vivid cases are interspersed in the teaching materials.How to grasp new teaching materials and make good use of the cases in it are the practical problems to be addressed in our teaching.It has been found through rethinking my teaching experience of many years,auditing colleagues' course and discussing with fellows that we are extensively at a loss regarding how to use new teaching materials and cases in it.Based on this,it is very necessary to seek the application status of cases in ideological and political teaching materials and make analysis,also put forward suggestions on optimized application of cases in the teaching materials.Furthermore,it has practical significance for guiding my teaching.This study primarily adopts action research in the course of actual teaching,also combines with interview and observation method for conducting deep and careful observation and analysis of case application status by teachers and students.This study comprises four parts,Introduction part presents the problem,research purpose and significance,core concept,research status,research method and research thought.The second part,Puzzle in Making Use of the Cases in Ideological and Political Teaching: based on my teaching practice and audit of teacher A and teacher B's courses,also observation and interview with teacher A and teacher B,it is found that they are puzzled in the course of teaching.Also with rethinking,elaborate the characteristics of cases in ideological and political teaching materials and the significance of optimized application of cases in it.The third part,Exploration in Making Use of the Cases in Ideological and Political Teaching Materials: based on interview and observation of teachers and students nearby,the application status of cases,the processing mode of teachers and use condition of students regarding ideological and political teaching materials are founded;then the reason for the application status of cases in ideological and political teaching materials is explored from four aspects including traditional teaching method,teachers themselves,students themselves and teaching evaluation.Based on this,bold attempt is conducted as to how to optimize application of different cases in teaching materials.The forth part,Strategies for Optimized Utilization of Cases in Ideological and Political Teaching Materials: six suggestions on how to optimize application of cases in teaching materials are come up with through teaching practice and research exploration:(1)pay attention to cases in teaching materials,definite its teaching value;(2)drill teaching materials thoroughly and make use of it appropriately;(3)know over actual demand of students and utilize typical cases;(4)base on students' life experience,choose adaptive cases;(5)combine with own teaching practice and conduct practice exploration activities;(6)improve teachers' quality,and optimize teaching effect.
