Mathematics is a subject of thinking.At present,the research of mathematics in middle school is gradually focused on mathematical thinking.In junior high school mathematics teaching,due to the importance of abstract thinking training,not enough attention to the training of mathematical image thinking and lack of training,making students lack of innovative ability,the development of mathematical thinking is uneven.At the same time,with the development of scientific thinking and the deepening of mathematics education,mathematics visual thinking plays an important role in cultivating innovative talents,research on the mathematical thinking ability of the image research in mathematics education is more and more important.Based on this background,this paper studied lots of mathematical thinking in images based on the literature at home and abroad,first sorted out the form of mathematical image thinking and expounded the characteristics and functions of mathematical image thinking,defines the concept of mathematical thinking in images.Then based on the relevant theories of support,by using the method of questionnaire,conducted a survey of six junior high school students in Gansu Province,so as to understand the current situation of junior high school students' mathematics visual thinking ability.Through the investigation,we found that the following problems exist in the development of junior high school students' mathematical thinking ability: first,the development of junior middle school students' mathematical thinking ability is not balanced.Second,the image thinking ability of junior high school students to develop mathematical limitations,specifically in the mathematical representation reserve;knowledge is scattered,the lack of associative consciousness;the number shape transformation ability is insufficient;the ability of space imagination to the full development of mining;creative thinking.Third,the teachers' attention to the cultivation of mathematical thinking ability is not enough.Fourth,the teachers' ability to cultivate mathematical image thinking is limited.According to the survey findings,this paper combined with the specific case,explores the cultivation of mathematical image thinking ability according to the basic form of mathematical thinking in image system construction strategy,put forward strategies on mathematics image thinking ability of junior high school students :Firstly,strengthen the intuitive teaching,enrich the students' mathematical representation;Second,to reveal the nature of the image,the establishment of vivid image;Third,strengthen the old and new knowledge,cultivate students' association consciousness;Fourth,the combination of number and shape,the development of association and imagination;Fifth,tap the potential of the image,rich imagination.Through these strategies,and strive to cultivate and improve junior high school students' mathematical image thinking ability.
