An Investigation On The Status And Improvement Strategies Of W University’s Modernized Logistics Management

Since 1985,the socialization of logistics in our country has made great achievements,but there are still some problems as follows:the reform of the management system is not deep,the overall reform process is slow to develop,the university logistics entities haven’t fully realized their separation from school and so on.From the practice at home and abroad,the modernization of university logistics management is not only the only way to deepen the socialization of logistics in colleges and universities,but also the key factor to perfect the modern university system and build the first-class university.With the advent of the "Internet +" era,the university logistics management and service is facing some new challenges.Under the background of the new era,it is not only beneficial to explore the particularity of logistics management,but also to improve the quality and efficiency of logistics management in colleges and universities.Through the combination of literature method,interview method and questionnaire survey method,this paper makes a comprehensive evaluation of the development status of W University logistics management modernization by taking W University as a research object.This paper evaluates the level of modernization of university logistics management from four dimensions:management idea,macro management method,micro management means and management organization.This paper summarizes the experiences and lessons of the development of W University in the management of modernization,then carries on the corresponding attribution analysis,and puts forward some improvement strategies.From the results of the investigation and study:At present,W University has made some achievements in the service concept of social responsibility and the construction of rules and regulations,but in people-oriented,advancing with the times,opening up and the construction of high-level management team,information technology building,it still needs to be strengthened:1)The rights,responsibilities and interests of the university and the logistics entity are unclear,and the efficiency of logistics management and service is low.2)Lack of service-oriented concepts,people-oriented concept,the concept of management education and open cooperation concept.3)Rules and regulations can’t be updated in a timely manner,and are lack of openness&transparency;Logistics work lacks scientific,rigorous standards and operational processes.4)The overall quality of the management team is low;Lack of diversity in the training content,and the training results are not implemented;The logistics organization is set unreasonable,and he coordination between the various units are not coordinated.5)The overall configuration of the modern equipment is not ideal and can not be maintained and updated on a regular basis;Network infrastructure and information technology platform construction lag,and is lack of innovation;The university’s logistics institutions do not attach importance to the use of new media.In general,teachers and students are less satisfied with their logistics services.This study argues that the management system factors are the fundamental factors that restrict the modernization of logistics management in W University.The drawbacks of the management system of the contract system not only bring the right of the logistics management of W university,but also cause the problem of inefficient logistics service.Second,the lack of modern management concept,low quality,non-professional management team,and the lack of management funds also are important factors in causing these deficienciesThis study argues that to improve the level of W University logistics management modernization,we need to make the corresponding improvements from the following aspects:1)Establish and improve the logistics entity modern enterprise system and nail down the status of independent entities of logistics entities.2)Implement the modern logistics management concept through system construction.Promote outstanding young cadres.Increase the intensity of professional training staff.Encourage employees to enhance themselves.Combined with their own characteristics,shaping the logistics culture.3)Gradual introduction of modern enterprises generally adopted management methods,such as comprehensive goal management,system management ISO 9001 quality management system and so forth.Rules and regulations are standardized,scientific,transparent and timely updates.Develop clear working standards and processes.4)Improve the overall quality of the management team,and optimize the logistics of both sides of the division of labor and cooperation.5)Improve the configuration of modern equipment,optimize the network infrastructure,strengthen the construction of information platform,and put emphasis on the use of new media.
