Study On Problems And Countermeasures Of The Canteen Management In Rural Boarding Junior High Schools

The canteen management is a very complex and difficult task in rural boarding schools.As the saying goes:" moving troops and horses,forage ahead".Dining is a solid guarantee of the students’ life and learning.It is unrealistic to talk about education without food.We can not guarantee students’ physical health and development if our school can not do the logistical support for the students’ dining.And we can not let students threw himself into learning;It is more difficult to enhance students’ literacy and do the people’s satisfaction with the school.So the canteen management occupies a pivotal position in rural boarding junior high school in the school management,and it also a valuable problem for researching.Since last century,the compulsory education began to spread;the number of students in rural boarding junior high school was growing rapidly.Along with the continued consolidation of many schools made it became inevitable that the students of rural junior high school need to board in school.The students can not concentrate because the rural population is not concentrated.It led to a lot of students far from home,so they had to choose to board in school.It is a big challenge for the rural boarding junior high school.And also,it is a big challenge for the school management,especially for the students’ dining management.It is an extremely complex task for the school administrators.And for the students of boarding school,they are in the most critical period of physical and mental development.Especially,it is very crucial in this period for their physical development.If they have any mistake on repast in this period,it will cause serious consequences for their healthy growth.The student in boarding school get nutrition from the school canteens all the day,the dining management science or not of school canteens is directly related to the student’s health and normal development.This study was carried out mainly by questionnaire,interview and on-the-spot investigation.I mainly inspected Qiliping junior high school,Dayan junior high school,Sanli junior high school,Hongyan junior high school,Huaping national junior high school,Qingjiang junior high school,Gaoping junior high school,Guandian junior high school and Guandian national junior high school in Jianshi County,and I tried my best to know about the condition of canteen management about these 9 rural boarding junior high school.And I did an empirical research in Huaping national junior high school of Jianshi county.This study consists of five parts:In the first part,it is an introduction,it mainly summarized in five aspects from the background and significance of the study,the literature review,the contents and methods of the study,the difficult and key points and innovation.In the second part,I described the current situation and problems,and I introduced the status of the case school and the status of the canteen of the case school.And sort out the problems by collecting and analyzing the data of the canteen management in case school,I found that there are five mainly problems of the canteen management in case school.It includes the service quality,the food quality,the hygiene conditions,the food components and the dining discipline.They are the most prominent of several problems.In the third part,I mainly analyzed the factors of the five problems that I found in the second part.By analyzing these problems I found that they are mainly due to the lack of strong funding guarantee,the scientific nutrition,the supervision of effective health,the thought about the reasonable mix for the food and the specification of dining order.In the fourth part,I gave the countermeasure of the above five problems.For several outstanding problems from the Management of the canteen in rural boarding junior high school,we can resolve them by increasing capital investment for service,hiring a professional nutrition division for the canteen rural boarding junior high school,setting up a hygiene Steering Group for the canteen in rural boarding junior high school,Set different food price in different quantity,establishing gradient dining timetable for the students in different grades.In the fifth part,there are conclusion and reflection.Conclusion:The problems about the canteen management the canteen in rural boarding junior high school are the service quality,the food quality,the hygiene conditions,the food components and the dining discipline.We can resolve them by increasing capital investment for service,hiring a professional nutrition division,setting up hygiene Steering Group,Set different food price in different quantity,establishing gradient dining timetable for the students in different grades.Reflection:The successes of this study are open my vision by researching the literature and link the theory I have learned to the practice very well.The downside is the short study period and the narrow study range caused by the restriction of practice time and geographical.
