Recently, many domestic and international professors put up a theory"bilateral deficiency".It means unilateral supported exercises are more efficient on the improvement for athletes" performance.however, there is no study about that interiorly. Most of the single-leg sqaut just is trained as a supplementary drill in the lower extremity training. This study chose 12 students from Beijing Sport University affiliated sports school as experimental objects. The objects were divided into two groups:Deep squat group(DS)which took the regular deep squat training;Single-leg squat group(SS)which took the single-leg training. Both groups took the same relative intensity for 8 weeks(16 training sessions). The study included tests of deep squat,single-leg squat, standing triple jump, counter movement jump with two feet, counter movement jump with one foot. The study makes a contrast analysis of the data of the experimental objects before and after the experiment.Conclusions:(1)Single-leg training and deep squat traing can improve the maximum strength of lower extremity. But there is no statistical difference betweem DS and SS.(2)Single-leg training and deep squat traing can improve the power of lower extremity. But there is no statistical difference betweem DS and SS.(3)Single-leg training is efficient to improve balance of experimental objects, compared with the deep squat training.
