With the development of modern education level and the continuous major college enrollment,colleges have been the key areas of management and control for public health emergencies due to the continuous increase of the campus population density.Emergent acute infectious diseases,such as SARS,H5N1,Ebola,etc.,can easily bring panic and fear to the society,especially to teachers and students.The research of emergent acute infectious diseases involves multiple multi-disciplinary theories and methodologies,and the sporadic and polytropic characteristic causes difficulties for colleges‘ governors while dealing with these issues.Besides,colleges and universities face challenges related to damage minimization,disease control,and proper treatment measures.Therefore,to contain the threats of those diseases and protect the life and property security of students and teachers,it is essential to adopt positive,scientific and efficient precautions and controls.This paper first gives a general understanding of the research background and research significance.Through access to a wide range of literature,detailed classification and grooming senior research results related to management and control for the public health emergency,the paper is based on basic theories such as the general notion of public health emergency management,risk management,risk society.Then,taking colleges and universities in Yunnan as the research object,the paper deeply analyzes the existing management problems and causes of these problems in colleges and universities.Combined with domestic and foreign advanced concept and experience,this study provides suggestions and available solutions to deal with emergent acute infectious diseases,so that they can be conducive to raising the capacity of public health emergency management.
