Research On The Impact Of Farmers’ Social Security Satisfaction On Their Government Trust

In 2019,the "No 1 Central Document" pointed out that it is necessary to further guide the peasants to establish socialist core values,consolidate the party’s ideological positions in the countryside,and guide the peasants to listen to the party and follow the party.Under the background of the new era,the state has adopted a series of measures to improve the credibility of the government in the hearts of the people.This is the solemn commitment of the party and the government to never forget to serve the people wholeheartedly.In recent years,with the continuous progress in rural work,farmers’ civic awareness,administrative needs,and material needs have gradually increased,and higher demands have been placed on government work capacity.Therefore,the government needs to keep pace with the times,accelerate the pace of building a service-oriented government,and improve the government’s credibility in rural areas.According to the actual situation of rural areas in China,it is of positive significance to study the government’s trust status of the peasants and further improve the rural work and guide the peasants to establish socialist core values.This paper attempts to start from the perspective of social security satisfaction,based on the theory of public satisfaction,the Marxist social security theory and the theory of responsible government,and combined with the data from the 2017 CSS questionnaire,to explore the impact of farmers’ social security satisfaction on their government trust.Firstly,based on the literature regression and questionnaire scale,the government trust is divided into two dimensions,trust in government work and trust in government public officials.There are a total of 6 measures for social security satisfaction.They are pension security,medical security,employment security,minimum living security,housing security,and overall evaluation of social security.Secondly,this paper gives an overview of the development process of China’s rural social security system,and introduces the status of social security satisfaction and government trust level of the interviewed farmers through simple description statistics.The results of the questionnaire show that the current social security satisfaction of farmers and government trust are at a medium-to-high level.This shows that in recent years the state attaches great importance to the development of rural,rural good policy for release ceaselessly,let real rural residents felt the country for various preferential,so as to promote the farmers to keep the government credibility in the state of comparison trust,further confirmed the government over the years the brilliant achievements in the rural work.Finally,through empirical research,the data used in this paper are analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.In order to confirm the reliability of the research results,this paper also quotes the relevant data in the 2015 CSS questionnaire in the regression analysis of social security satisfaction and government trust.The results show that in the measurement of farmers’ social security satisfaction,in addition to the insignificant effect of old-age security on the trust of government officials and government work,farmers ’overall satisfaction with health care,employment,housing,minimum living security,and social security all significantly affect farmers’ trust in government officials and government work.Based on the research results,this article argues that in terms of improving farmers’ social security satisfaction,we should adhere to the concept of government-led and propose relevant feasibility recommendations.This includes giving play to government functions,promoting the healthy development of rural social security undertakings,strengthening publicity of rural social security policies,and raising farmers’ awareness of insurance participation.These measures can effectively improve farmers’ social security satisfaction,and then increase their level of government trust.
