A Study On The Problem Of Easement Of The Relationship Between Ethiopia And Eritrea

After the end of World War II,Eritrea and Ethiopia formed a federation.For decades,the two countries were at wartime due to ethnic conflicts and border disputes.Until the signing of a peace agreement in 2000 declared the end of the conflict,the two countries entered "no war,no "Peace".On July 9,2018,Ethiopia and Eritrea signed a historic agreement,promising to abandon mutual hatred,set an example of reconciliation for the Horn of Africa,and bring a long time of peace to the Horn of Africa in the future.And the new era of development.The handshake between the two countries is the result of a combination of factors.On the one hand,the easing of relations between the two countries is largely the result of the internal factors of Ethiopia and Eritrea.At present,the political,economic and diplomatic dilemmas facing the two countries are important reasons for the easing of relations between the two countries.On the other hand,the long-term mediation of foreign forces has promoted the relaxation of relations between the two countries.The United States and the Gulf countries,for their own strategic layout in East Africa,have been reconciling between the two countries in an attempt to ease the relationship between the two countries and break the deadlock in the Horn of Africa.The easing of relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea has had a positive impact on the two countries and the Horn of Africa,which is not only conducive to stabilizing the situation between the two countries,promoting economic development,but also helping to achieve peace,stability and development in the Horn of Africa.However,the relaxation of relations between the two countries has not been smooth sailing.Some opposition voices and constraints within the two countries have prevented the road of reconciliation from advancing normally,resulting in a "thunderous sound and rain".This article firstly briefly sorts out the historical background of the relationship between Ethiopia and Eritrea.Secondly,it focuses on the internal and external factors that promote the relaxation of the relationship between the two countries.Finally,it analyzes the impact of the relaxation of the relationship between the two countries and the factors that restrict the reconciliation of the two countries.
