| Government trust is an important source of government legitimacy, which provides the political basis for the government to effectively carry out policy formulation and implementation. At the same time, the level of government trust reflects the stability of the regime. At present,China is in a critical period of social transformation. How to improve the level of public trust in the government, especially in the grass-roots government,is a key problem to be solved in the process of modernization of China’s national governance system and governance capacity. In 2015,the CPC Central Committee put forward a strategic plan to comprehensively improve the people’s sense of access.Through further fair and equitable distribution of the reform and development results, the development results will be shared by all the people, and the public’s trust in government organizations and government governance will be improved as a whole,so as to build a solid mass base for the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity. At the same time, the current imbalance of social development in urban and rural areas is more prominent, and there are differences between urban and rural areas in the sense of gain, government trust and the impact of sense of gain on government trust. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore the influence of sense of gain on government trust and the differences between urban and rural areas.Based on the theory of urban-rural dual structure, this paper uses literature research and statistical analysis to analyze the cgss2015 data. The results show that: 1)the overall level of government trust is in the upper middle level, but there is an obvious pattern of urban-rural difference. On the whole, the level of government trust of rural residents is higher than that of urban residents.2)The overall sense of gain is in the upper middle level, but the public’s sense of gain in different fields has different intensity. In addition, people’s sense of access shows the characteristics of urban-rural differences. The intensity of economic sense of access and public service sense of urban residents is higher than that of rural residents, while the intensity of political sense of access and self realization sense of access is lower than that of rural residents.3)The sense of gain has a significant positive impact on government trust, that is,the stronger the sense of gain of the social public on the achievements of social reform and development, the higher the degree of trust in the government.Among them, the sense of access to public services has the greatest impact, followed by the sense of political access, then the sense of self realization, and finally the sense of economic access.4)On the whole, the influence of rural residents’ sense of gain on government trust is stronger.Rural residents’ sense of political gain and sense of self realization have higher impact on government trust than urban residents, while urban residents’ sense of economic gain and sense of public service have higher impact on government trust than rural residents. This study believes that the increase of sense of gain will effectively improve the level of government trust, and the balanced development of urban and rural society will narrow the gap between urban and rural residents’ sense of gain, and ultimately promote the improvement of government trust as a whole. Therefore, this paper puts forward countermeasures from the dimensions of urban-rural economic integration, improving grass-roots political participation, optimizing public service supply and improving personal development mechanism. |
