| With the continuous development of China’s economy, innovation and entrepreneurship have become a hot topic. In recent years, the relationship between individuals and entrepreneurship has attracted the attention of academia. The social and economic status of an individual represents resource and information allocation and risk bearing capacity, which determines the entrepreneurial foundation and the source of entrepreneurial willingness of a potential entrepreneur. At present,in the research on the relationship between individuals and entrepreneurial willingness, the resource problem behind the entrepreneurial willingness of potential entrepreneurs is ignored, and there is no more specific interpretation of the mechanism.Family is the basic cell of society, and its influence on people’s behavior has been embedded in every aspect of social and economic activities. In terms of entrepreneurial willingness, can we reasonably use individual family factors to contribute to entrepreneurial willingness? Can parents or their families support and provide resources to encourage and promote entrepreneurship? This study focuses on the following three questions:(1)Can social and economic status advance entrepreneurial willingness?(2)Is there an intermediary mechanism between social and economic status and entrepreneurial willingness for parent-child altruistic behavior?(3)If social and economic status can affect entrepreneurial willingness, does it have different effects on entrepreneurial willingness of potential subsistence or opportunity entrepreneurs? Therefore, this study constructed a mechanism model of social and economic status acting on entrepreneurial willingness, and conducted an empirical study using CGSS data.First of all,the total sample is divided into entrepreneurial sample and non-entrepreneurial sample, and the two are compared to investigate how do social and economic status affect entrepreneurial willingness on the whole.Secondly,I researched the influence of parent-child altruism on entrepreneurial willingness. Finally, according to the different types of potential entrepreneurs, the research samples are divided into survival potential entrepreneurs and opportunity potential entrepreneurs,so as to investigate whether social and economic status has different effects on their entrepreneurial willingness and the degree of impact.Based on the empirical research conclusions and for the purpose of encouraging the public to start businesses in the new era, this paper proposes that first of all,the government should attach importance to formulating social policies suitable for the social stratum structure, which is conducive to the reasonable flow of social resources and provides sufficient resource support for entrepreneurship.Secondly,to facilitate the realization of entrepreneurial willingness, the government should support some preferential tax policies to reduce the cost of entrepreneurship. Finally,we can use the family social and economic resources to improve the integration and risk bearing capacity of potential entrepreneurs for being a stimulus of the entrepreneurial willingness. |
