A Study On The Anti-Terrorism Mechanism In Nigeria And Its Enlightenment

Since the end of the cold war,terrorism has become one of the biggest security threats in the world,especially in Africa,where the security environment is relatively complex.Nigeria,as a regional power in Africa,has established its own anti-terrorism mechanism against the growing terrorist organization and the spreading terrorist threat.Take the Nigerian government's fight against the homegrown terrorist group boko haram,after 2009,boko haram accelerated by islamic extremist groups to terrorist organizations,The Nigerian government has also gradually established a comprehensive anti-terrorism mechanism including the anti-terrorism legal mechanism,the anti-terrorism organizational system,the anti-terrorism early warning mechanism and the anti-terrorism cooperation mechanism.In order to effectively play the role of the counter-terrorism mechanism,the Nigerian government has comprehensively implemented policies in various aspects,including military,negotiation,border control,economy,network,and depolarization methods.It can be said that the gradual establishment and improvement of the anti-terrorism mechanism in Nigeria is the product of the country's efforts to effectively combat and control domestic terrorism.Nigeria's counter-terrorism practice has achieved remarkable results,but there are still many shortcomings in the practice,such as the emphasis onmilitary rather than governance and the influence of ethnic and religious factors in the country.The success and failure of Nigeria's anti-terrorism has enlightenment significance to the establishment of anti-terrorism mechanism of other countries.
