Difficulties And Countermeasures Of Community Corrections CX Project Operation In Panyu District,Guangzhou City

As an important component of the reform of the judicial system,community corrections provide adjustment sites for imprisonment of convicts and resettlement of families.China’s community corrections have been implemented since 2003.Based on the experience of community corrections at home and abroad,after more than ten years of efforts,the quality of community corrections and service levels have been continuously improved in all regions.With the continuous progress of China’s social service industry,the basic theories and methods of social work are slowly integrated into community corrections.The government began to purchase services from social workers through projects.In the context of project-based services,social workers not only pay attention to their professional services,but also focus on how to use effective and more optimized project management methods to improve service quality and satisfaction.Service object requirements.As the second batch of pilot areas in the country,Guangzhou officially started community correction services in July 2006,and conducted a number of beneficial explorations of community correction practices.For this purpose,the author selected the"CX Project"judicial social work project of the P social work agency in Panyu District,Guangzhou City,and used the literature research method,individual interview method,and participatory observation method to collect information.Using legal theories and sociological theories,combined with the service approach of’’Social Workers + Home Economics + Judicial Institute" adopted by the CX project,they elaborated on the CX project’s planning,implementation,evaluation,and summary of a series of project operational processes,and found that the existence of community prisoners existed.The problems,understanding their needs,summarizing the effectiveness of the implementation of the CX judicial social work project,revealing its shortcomings and the difficulties it faces.Finally,the project proposals for improving CX community correction social work are proposed from the aspects of government policy guidance,social worker team construction,and social worker talent construction.
