Abstract/Summary:
In order to understand the factors that affect the implementation of the young pioneers activities curriculum at primary school and enhance the effectiveness of the implementation of the curriculum,in this study,three primary schools in Qingyang City were investigated by means of interview and observation.The survey found that there were a lot of motivations for the implementation of the young pioneers activities curriculum at primary school in Qingyang City,in general,which were based on the policy and promoted from top to down.It had made some progress in developing curriculum resources,constructing exchange platform and implementing specific curriculum activities.But at the same time,it faced some difficulties and problems.Based on the further analysis of the survey data,it was found that the main factors affecting the implementation of young pioneers activity curriculum included the outline and five internal factors and two external factors of the school.First of all,outline increased the difficulty of the implementation of young pioneers activities curriculum because of too much goals and content,simple and contracted evaluation.Secondly,from the influencing factors of internal school,the school leadership was a founder,supporter and promoter of the implementation of young pioneers activities curriculum;teachers had advantages and disadvantages to implement this course;students’ preferences and active participation promoted the implementation of the curriculum,but rural students’ introverted personality was not conducive to mobilize the classroom atmosphere and implement the curriculum;lack of curriculum resources restricted the implementation of the curriculum;the target,content,evaluation methods of the course can not be implemented because of examination.Finally,from the factors of outside school,the education administrative departments on the one hand promoted the implementation of the curriculum.On the other hand,the counselors can not be adjust to this course due to excessive intervention;parents’ view on safety,examination and grades restricted the effective implementation of young pioneers activities curriculum.In response,the author put forward the relevant suggestions.First,to make the‘Young Pioneers Activities Course Outline(Trial)’ be adjust to the reality.Second,toenhance leaderships’ support for young pioneers activities curriculum by constantly updating school their education philosophy.Third,to take effective measures to strengthen the specialization of the Young Pioneers Counselor faculty.Fourth,the education administration departments on the implementation of young pioneers activities curriculum should have fitting and proper degree.Fifth,to strengthen propaganda and seek a wide range of social support.Finally,to strengthen the theory research and practice research on young pioneers activities curriculum.
