| Teachers play a vital role in the development of education and the importance of international Chinese teachers in the development of Chinese international education is self-evident.The professional development of Chinese teachers has a direct impact on the quality of teachers and teaching,that is why it is necessary and of practical significance to explore the current situation of professional development of international Chinese teachers.This paper conducted a survey and research on serving Chinese teachers and volunteers in Confucius Institute,Hungary from 2019 to 2020 by means of questionnaires and interviews.This paper analyzes and sorts out the influencing factors on the professional development of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute of Hungary from the aspects of microcosmic environment and appearance environment,and puts forward countermeasures and analysis to promote the professional development of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute of Hungary from the perspectives of teachers and organizations.According to the data collected in the article,the results are shown that the overall score of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute in Hungary was the highest in the dimension of teacher knowledge,followed by 3.913 in teacher ability and 3.814 in educational belief.From the perspective of each single impact factor,the highest score is career belief(4.174),the lowest score is career development(3.419).Based on the questionnaire data,the paper interviewed two public teachers and two volunteers,and drew a conclusion through relevant theoretical analysis:in the micro environment,teachers’ sense of identity and students’feedback have an impact on the professional development of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute,Hungary.In terms of appearance environment,the curriculum setting,including the inconsistencies in class type and class hours,and the management system of Hanban will have an impact on the professional development of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute.Based on the above questionnaire and interview analysis results,the paper puts forward feasible suggestions on how to promote the professional development of Chinese teachers in Confucius Institute,Hungary,from the perspectives of teachers and organizations.At the level of teachers,it is emphasized that teachers should know themselves,set up a correct attribution style and have reasonable expectations for themselves and classroom teaching.In addition,teachers need to have a sense of lifelong learning and positive reflection,which can be achieved by writing reflection logs,micro-teaching and discussing with colleagues.From the perspective of organization,Confucius Institutes should try to establish the internal learning community of teachers.Hanban should improve the reward and punishment mechanism,improve the evaluation system,and reduce the selection process of excellent Chinese teachers in Confucius Institutes who have to change countries at the end of four years.Although there are still many inadequacies in this paper,it is still expected to provide ideas and methods to promote the overall professional development of overseas Chinese teachers through this country-specific study,and make efforts to promote the development of international Chinese education. |
