In the teaching and research of Chinese as a second language,the individual differences of learners are widely concerned in academic circles.As one of the standards to measure individual differences,Perceptual Learning Style can help teachers understand the characteristics of students in the process of language learning,and then improve teaching methods and teaching quality.Based on the theory of Reid’s Perceptual Learning Style,this paper selects 103 Chinese international education undergraduates from the Northwest Normal University in Dungan International students Central Asia,adopting the researching methods of classroom observation,questionnaire and interview,this paper makes investigation and analysis on their Chinese perceptual learning style,and according to the specific situation of the characteristics of Chinese Perceptual Learning Style of the students from Dungan people,Central Asia,the relevant teaching strategies are put forward.This paper is divided into five parts,the first part is the introduction,on the basis of explaining the background,reason and significance of the research,the domestic and foreign scholars on the related research of learning style,Perceptual Learning Style are sorted out;In the second part,based on the theory of Perceptual Learning Style,the research problems,research objects,research methods,questionnaire design and implementation and data processing are introduced;The third part is the analysis and discussion of the questionnaire results;The fourth part is based on the characteristics of Chinese Perceptual Learning Style of Dungan International students in Central Asia and puts forward corresponding teaching strategies;The fifth part is the conclusion,this paper summarizes the research results of Chinese Perceptual Learning Styles of the Northwest Normal University students,and expounds the shortcomings and innovations of this research.Through the investigation,the author founds:(1)The general tendency of Chinese Perceptual Learning Style of Dungan International students in Central Asia is: Visual style > Kinesthetic style > Auditory style > Tactile style > Individual style > Group style.Visual,Kinesthetic and Auditory learning styles are the main learning styles,while tactile,individual and group learning styles are the secondary learning styles.(2)Chinese Perceptual Learning Styles of the Dungan International students in Central Asia,in different grades,there were statistically significant differences in two types of Perceptual Learning Styles: Group learning and individual learning.In group-based Perceptual Learning Style,there were statistically significant differences between 2016 students and 2018 students;in individual-based Perceptual Learning Style,there were significant differences between the students of grade 2016 and 2017.(3)There are gender differences in the personal style of Perceived Learning of Chinese between the Dungan international students in Central Asia,girls regard it as the main learning style,but boys regard it as the secondary learning style.(4)The investigation result shows that Chinese Perceptual Learning Styles among the Dungan International students in Central Asia is as follows: Visual,Auditory,Tactile,Kinesthetic,Group and Individual Perceptual Learning Styles have no significant difference with Chinese proficiency level.
