| We took the portrait bricks unearthed in the tombs of the Song and Jin dynasties in Gansu as the research object,through field investigations,visited local museums,and combined the existing research results,investigated and collected the portrait bricks of the Song and Jin dynasties scattered in the 40 picture bricks unearthed from the tombs of the Song and Jin dynasties with relatively clear data excavated in Gansu which are organized and studied.Through sorting,we found that there are a large number of bricks with various themes and rich contents in Gansu Province.There are not only the scenes which showed the daily life and travel for the tomb owner,such as preparing wine,serving tea,feasting,cooking,opera and musical performance,pushing milling,hunting,leading horses and camels,but also a large number of filial piety stories,such as Wang Xiang’s sleeping on ice,Guo Ju’s funeral for his son,Meng Zong’s Sadness for the bamboos,and so many pictures for fortune and auspiciousness,such as flying sky,feathered people,auspicious beast and so on.Compared with the Central Plains,these portrait brick themes included some new decorative themes such as the “hu people” and the camels,which are common in the Central Plains.It can be seen that the area maintains are not only united with the culture of the Central Plains area but also have so much multiple cultures Blending features.Through the combination of literature and image data,the themes of these portrait bricks are analyzed to reveal the social and cultural life of the area at that time,such as the appearance of rice in the tomb,the push mill,the banquet,the kitchen,the cooking of wine,the cooking of tea and so on,The portrait brick of the subject depicts the daily dietary life in the people ’s processing food,cooking food and preparing beverages,reflected the colorful dietary structure at that time.Among the travel themes,the horses travel are at the most,the travels by sedan chair were only found in the Song dynasty tombs in Longxi County,Gansu Province.It was found that a large number of images of horses in Gansu at that time were very common means of transportation in addition to the military needs.A large number of filial piety stories showed that the Confucian filial piety culture in Gansu was very popular at that time,almost the same period as the Central Plain.There is no gap between these regions.The emergence of this scenario was inseparable from the cultural policies of the rulers at that time,and the measures of local officials to establish a various of schools for Fan and Han.The rich and auspicious themes such as flying sky and feathered people were the best witness of people’s belief in Buddhism and Taoism at that time. |
