On the basis of previous studies, this paper uses the theory of systemic functional grammar to analyze the discourse markers of"x deshi"(X??).The full text is divided into five parts. The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly explains the purpose and significance of the topic, the summary of relevant research status, the research object and scope, also the theoretical basis of the research and the source of the corpus. The second chapter first defines the structure of"x deshi"(X??)in modern Chinese, then classifies the structure of"x deshi"(X??)according to the contents of X,and then analyzes the nature of"shi"(?)in the structure. Finally,it summarizes the typical combination and collocation of"x deshi"(X??)structure, mainly with the co-occurrence of degree adverbs and conjunction words. The third chapter mainly analyzes the origin and evolution of"x deshi"(X??)structure. It explains that since modern times, the"x deshi"(X??)got influenced by the translations of vernacular and foreign languages then changed from the typical subject-predicate-object structure to the separation of subject-predicate part, then the subject-predicate part gradually became a discourse marker of subjective evaluation. In addition, from the perspective of typology, this chapter makes a comparative analysis of the"x deshi"(X??)structure in modern Chinese and the thematic evaluation structure in English, then summarizes the common characteristics and differences of information structure in English and Chinese. The fourth chapter analyzes the"x deshi"(X??)structure from the perspective of text linguistics, mainly including its pragmatic function, syntactic degradation and text integration, and then highlights the characteristics of Chinese text construction due to the lack of form. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizing the full text, including the main conclusions and problems to be solved.
