Thanks to the globalization of education and under the “Belt and Road” initiative,people inevitably communicate with others of different cultural backgrounds.During the 30 th anniversary of the publication of the overseas edition of the People's Daily,President Xi said that “we must tell the story of China well,spread the sound of China well,and promote more and better understandings of Chinese culture among foreigners.”At the same time,the English Curriculum Standard for Senior High School(2017version)also emphasizes the cultivation of students' cultural awareness,especially the cultural awareness of their own country,the enhancement of national identity and feelings of home and country,the firm cultural confidence,and the ability to spread Chinese culture.“ However,in the process of target language culture teaching,the teaching of mother tongue culture is often ignored,which leads to learners' inability to express Chinese culture in English.This phenomenon has attracted the attention of foreign language educators and foreign language education research experts.Therefore,in the process of English teaching,we should not only cover the culture of English-speaking countries,but also include Chinese culture and its expression.In view of this,on the basis of the intercultural communication theory and related theories of language curriculum organization and foreign language teaching and based on the research status at home and abroad,this study conducts a research on integrating Chinese culture into senior high school English teaching of three high schools in Anshan,Liaoning province.By using questionnaires and interviews,this paper aims to understand the current situation of Chinese culture teaching in senior high school,find out the existing problems and explore the reasons,and then put forward specific strategies.The results show that most of the teachers and students have a strong sense of cultural integration in actual teaching and learning.The New Standard English textbooks contain certain Chinese cultural content.However,due to the influence of environment,time and other factors in teaching practice,the actual situation of Chinese cultural integration needs to be improved.Through this study,the author draws the following pedagogical implication:teachers should supplement and adjust the corresponding Chinese cultural content based on the cultural content in the teaching materials.In the teaching process,design some cultural teaching activities reasonably,and integrate the Chinese cultural teaching into English teaching in a proper way.So as to improve students' intercultural communication ability,enable students to spread Chinese culture in the process of intercultural communication,have the core quality of English discipline,cultivate students' patriotism and national identity,and make Chinese culture truly go to the world.
