As a major contributor to the worldwide development of technological innovation,China frequently conducts international dialogues and exchanges around the technology.It greatly raises the demand and attention to technology conference interpreting and puts higher requirements for interpreters.This interpreting practice is a mock C-E simultaneous task based on the opening remarks of 2017 Global Hard & Core Technology Innovation Conference.The conference is of significance for the development of hard & core technology innovation at home and abroad.The interpreter hopes that this interpreting task can demonstrate the potential of hard & core technology in China and express the vision of exploring opportunities and sharing dividends with the international community.For such a formal conference,there exist a large number of technical terms and expressions with Chinese characteristics in the content of the speech.Words used by speakers are featured by accuracy and stringency.In order to deal with the interpreting difficulties and improve the interpreting efficiency,the interpreter adopts free translation,omission,logical clarification and adjustment of word order under the guidance of the interpretive theory.In this way,the readability of the target language is enhanced.The report wholly records the process of the practice and expands deep analysis with specific cases.The report aims to explore the feasibility of the interpretive theory in conference interpreting.The interpreter hopes to improve the personal ability and accumulate experience to provide some reference for the future career.
