A Study Of Hamada Kosaku's Art Archaeology System

Hamada Kosaku(1881-1938)is a famous Japanese archaeologist,he is called “the father of Japanese archaeology”.During his study in Europe,Hamada Kosaku studied the theories and methods of modern and contemporary scientific archaeology.After returning to Japan,he carried out a lot of activities of art archaeology and formed his own art archaeology system.This includes his art archaeology practice system,art archaeology theories and methods system and art archaeology talent training system.Hamada Kosaku made a profound effect on art archaeology in east Asia.He is the man hard to ignore when we research the history of “art archaeology”.In view of this,this paper studies the system of Hamada Kosaku's art archaeology system which is from his practice and researchIn his practice of art archaeology,Hamada Kosaku cultivated a practice system of art archaeology with northeast Asia as the research area,and Japan as the research focus,guided by the relevant methods of scientific archaeology,led by professional scientific research institutions,with the collaboration of many scholars and multi-disciplinary cooperation,with complete records and processes.In the process of theory and method of research and application,he has formed a theoretical and methodological system of art archaeology by means of archaeological stratigraphy and archeological typology,coupled with anthropological and documentary materials to explain the remains,with the purpose of restoring history and assisted by modern science and technology.In the process of talent cultivation,a talent cultivation system of art archaeology has been formed based on the lectures on archaeology of Kyoto imperial university and through textbooks and translations,which has greatly influenced both Japan and China.This paper explains this topic through five parts.Among them,the introduction mainly introduces,the define of art archaeology,topic background and significance,research status,ideas and methods,as well as the structure and difficulties of the paper.The first chapter summarizes the background of Hamada Kosaku and art archaeology,including the life and academic background of Hamada Kosaku,the rise of art archaeology and the origin of the subject name.The second chapter studies the practice system of art archaeology of Hamada Kosaku including the main art archaeology practice of Hamada Kosaku and the characteristics of the practice system.The third chapter combs the system of art archaeology theory and method of Hamada Kosaku.The fourth chapter sorts out the training system of art archaeology of Hamada Kosaku.
