Post-process archaeology originated from the 1980s as a debate on the nature of archaeology in the Western archaeology community.It was originally developed as a critique of process archaeology and later became a general description of integrating contemporary sociological theories into archaeological research.In recent years,the discussion of post-process archaeology in our country is gradually increasing,mainly focusing on the translation and introduction of foreign literature,and the application of the research methods of branches of post-process archaeology.The contents of of research is not very sufficient.This paper first gives a general introduction to the development of post-process archaeology,lists and analyzes the application cases of post-process archaeology in the West.Then explain the relationship and development reasons of the various paradigms of Chinese archaeology.The method of mapping knowledge domains is adopted when studying the domestic theoretical situation.The themes and keywords of the archaeological papers were analyzed in CNKI and Citespace software separately,which provided certain data support for the views of this thesis well as the existing opinions of some scholars.Finally,according to comparing and analyzing of the internal development background and research status of post-process archaeology with the situation abroad,the significance of the development of post-process archaeology in our country and the possible future directions are explored.
