Since the “Belt and Road” initiative was proposed,China has carried out bilateral and multilateral cooperation with participating countries in political, economic, and cultural fields. The organization of foreign aid projects and various seminars has further promoted practical cooperation. From August 1st to 21 st,2019,Fujian Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Officials? Training Centre held the 2019 Seminar on NGO Capacity Building for Developing Countries. The author had the honor to serve as the interpreter during the seminar. This report is based on the consecutive interpreting for the lecture “Theory and Practice of the Protection on Women Workers? Rights and Interests”.First, the author described the interpreting task and pre-task preparation, including introduction to the task, the speaker and the interpreter, background information collection, glossary building and lecture simulation. In the case analysis, the author listed challenges in information density,note-taking and register. She also put forward four coping tactics, namely, omission of synonymous nouns, omission of category nouns, omission of redundant verbs, and restructuring of logic, hoping to offer references for the future Chinese-English consecutive interpreting.By analyzing her performance in the interpreting task, the author hopes that she can find her strengths and weaknesses in order to enhance her interpreting capability. She also expects this report can offer worthy suggestions to student interpreters and help them better deal with the on-site interpreting.
