"Suishou" and "Shunshou" that are a set of synonyms is frequently used in modern Chinese.This article starts with semantics and describes in detail the semantic features of "Suishou" and "Shunshou".The two words are compared in terms of meaning similarities and differences;then went back to the diachronic level and explored the evolution of the two words.From the diachronic perspective,it proves that "Suishou" and "Shunshou" have related semantic characteristics.Finally,back to the synchronic level,the syntactic and pragmatic description of the characteristics,similarities and differences of "Suishou" and "Shunshou" are analyzed.The study is divided into four parts:Part ?:Semantic research.This part mainly analyzes the semantic features of the two words in a comprehensive dictionary based on the semantic interpretation of "Suishou" and "Shunshou" in a comprehensive dictionary:the adverb "Suishou" has [+ autonomy],[+ casualness,randomness Semantic features],[+ incidentally,follow-up],[+ habitual],[+ disorderly],[+ easy,easy],[± formal],[+ short-term] and other semantic features;the adverb "Shunshou" has [+ autonomy],[+ incidentally],[+ directionality],[+ easy,easy],[+ coherence],[+ casualness,randomness] and other semantic features;the adjective "Shunshou" has [+ Smoothly],[+ use good],[+ variable degree] and other semantic features.And we compared the similarities and differences between these two words in [+ autonomy],[+ incidentally],[+ casualness,randomness],[+ easy,easy].The second part:Diachronic source investigation.In this part,from a diachronic perspective,the formation of the two words "Suishou" and " Shunshou " is described in more details.We believe that "Suishou" used the adverb of time in the Western Han Dynasty from a positive structure.The descriptive adverbs developed from the object structure in Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties;the adverb " Shunshou " developed from the prepositional phrase in the fifth generation;the adjective " Shunshou " appeared relatively late,and it only became apparent in the late Ming Dynasty.With the development of Ming and Qing novels,adjectives "Shunshou" has also become more commonly used.The adjective " Shunshou " and the adverb " Shunshou " have completely different formation paths and time,and the adverb "Shunshou" is not further blurred from the adjective "Shunshou".Part ?:Syntactic research.This section examines "Suishou" and "Shunshou" from two aspects:syntactic function and syntactic collocation.In terms of syntactic functions,the syntactic functions of "Suishou" and the adverb "Shunshou" are basically the same.Since " Shunshou " can also be used as an adjective,the syntax function is more abundant.In terms of syntactic collocation,the common syntactic collocations of "Suishou" and " Shunshou " are summarized,and they are described and analyzed one by one.Part ?:Pragmatic Studies.This part uses the BCC Chinese Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University to compare and analyze it from three aspects:First,in terms of stylistic distribution,both "Suishou" and "Shunshou" can be used in newspapers,literature,and science and technology modules in formal styles,and "Suishou" is sometimes used in More formal slogans.In addition,“Suishou” and “Shunshou” are both widely used in informal Weibo modules,and “Suishou” also forms a unique Weibo topic.2.On the theme of the chapter,"Suishou" and the adverb "Shunshou" often appear in the content of the theme of environmental protection and civilization,and the adjective "Shoushou" is often used in the content of sports events.3.In verbal communication,"Suishou" and " Shoushou" can reflect subjectivity in verbal communication,and these two words can express the meaning of subjective lightness.
