Abstract/Summary:
The paper takes the short-term adverbs of “X ji” as the research target.At the synchronic level,it mainly analyzes the similarities and differences from the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic perspectives.At the diachronic level,it explores the evolution process of short-term adverbs of “X ji”,and compares their use in ancient Chinese and modern Chinese.This paper first introduces the research status of the short-term adverbs of “X ji”,and clarifies the significance of discriminating this group of homonyms.One is to promote the deepening of Chinese ontology research,the other is to help the development of second language teaching.This paper mainly uses the theory of three planes,through the qualitative and quantitative research methods to intuitively show the similarities and differences of “X ji” short-term adverbs.At the synchronic level,This paper analyzes the syntax,semantics and pragmatics of the short-term adverbs of “X ji”.Through the corpus analysis,it is found that the main syntactic position of this kind of adverbs is before the subject and after the predicate,which can be combined with dynamic verbs and verbal phrases,as well as dynamic state adjectives and adjective phrases.It can be moved to the front of the subject with conditional restrictions.The short-term adverbs of “X ji” share three semantic features,namely,[+short-term meaning],[+After reference time],[+controlled].In addition,this kind of words also have different semantic features from other words.On this basis,it further analyzes the differences of semantic scope and the semantic differences of the following collocation components,which have the semantic features of [+ process] and [+ change].The short-term adverbs of “X ji” are mainly used in written language.The frequency of “li ji”,“sui ji” and “dang Ji” in written language is significantly higher than that of "xun Ji" and "xuan ji".The reason can be found from the diachronic development.On the one hand,it is due to the late formation of "xun Ji" and "xuan ji"."xuan ji" was formed in Tang Dynasty,and "xun ji" was not formed until Ming Dynasty,with strong classical Chinese color.On the other hand,the words of "li ji" and "sui ji" have similar meanings of "xun ji" and "xuan ji",but also have meanings that they don’t have.The short-term adverbs of "x ji" have some choices for sentence types.In the context selection of sentences,the only word that can be used in both subjective context and objective context is "li ji",while the other adverbs are not seen in subjective context.At the diachronic level,this paper analyzes the evolution process of short-term adverbs of "x ji".“li ji”,“sui ji”,“xun ji” and “Xuan ji” are disyllabic adverbs formed through synonymous juxtaposition,while “dang ji” is disyllabic adverb formed through cross layer structure.There is also a great difference in the frequency of use of short-term adverbs of “X ji” between ancient Chinese and modern Chinese.In the end,the paper summarizes the basic conclusions and points out the shortcomings of this paper.
