The Lexicalization And Grammaticalization Of "Shunshou"

"Shunshou" is a word which is used frequently in Mandarin Chinese.This paper will analysis the process of lexicalization and grammaticalization of "Shunshou",from the perspective of diachronic and synchronic.With the comparative method,we will discuss the similarities and differences between the adverb "Shunshou" and "Shunbian".Using "Shunshou",there are some similarities and differences between dialect and Mandarin,this paper selects Yuexi dialect as object,and we will make an analysis about "Shunshou" special usage.The study is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ:The study of "Shunshou" usage.We’ll analysis the "Shunshou" syntactic,semantic and pragmatics.Part Ⅱ:The study of "Shunshou" process and motives of lexicalization.We will describe the process of "Shunshou" lexicalization,and how could the verb-object phrase became into an compound word in history. We’ll also discuss the motives of these.Part Ⅲ:The research of "Shunshou" grammaticalization.Base on the study of lexicalization,we’ll make a research about the process of "Shunshou" grammaticalization and its motives.Part Ⅳ:The comparatives study between adverbs "Shunshou" and "Shunbian".This part will make a comparative analysis about these two adverbs’s syntactic,semantic and pragmatics.And we’ll discuss the pragmatic value of "Shunbian" by analysis its linking function in chapters.Part Ⅴ:The research of "Shunshou" usage in Yuexi dialect.This part main discuss the impaction of Mandarin Chinese "Shunshou" grammaticalization which happened in Yuexi dialect.Base on the Yuexi dialect survey,we’ll describe the usage of "Shunshou" in author’s hometown—Yuexi.
