Class evaluation as a reflection form provides a platform for teachers to reflect on teaching.Class evaluation can not only let performers have a real understanding on their class,but also reflect on their teaching in time,so as to make more improvement for the future teaching.As class evaluation teachers,the process of class observation and class evaluation is the process of teaching reflection.Based on the theory of reflection--practice model,cohesion,coherence and integrity of the text,the study adopted the method of combinations of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to study the high school English teachers' class evaluation in Yining City.Specifically,the study adopted the methods of class evaluation journals analysis and interview,a total of 60 pieces of high school English teachers' class evaluation journals from 6different high school with different teaching levels were collected,marked,coded and counted.Besides,the interview were adopted as an additional research instrument,which contained four questions.And 6 novice teachers and 6 experienced teachers were interviewed,then interview contents were transcribed,marked and coded.The following three research questions were answered.1.What is the general characteristics of English teachers' class evaluation of high school ?2.What is the similarities and differences of class evaluation between novice teachers and experienced teachers?3.How do the factors influence the teachers' class evaluation?The findings of the study are as follows:1.From the point of structural characteristics,the study indicates that structural characteristics of teachers' class evaluation are not complete.Teachers lack of macroscopic evaluation and summary description,only 23.33% of teachers can make a general statement,16.67% of teachers make a comment in the end.100% of teachers contain at least two specific statements in the process of class evaluation.From the point of dimensional characteristics,the study indicates that dimensional characteristics of teachers' class evaluation are not very abundant.Teachers pay less attention to teaching objectives(20%),learning activities(36.33%).Teachers pay more attention to teacher's activities(77.33%),teaching contents(60%),teacher's literacy(63.33%).One-Way ANOVA indicates that,there is significant difference between each elements of structural characteristics of teachers' class evaluation(p<0.05).There is still significant difference between each elements of dimensional characteristics of teachers' class evaluation(p<0.05).2.The similarities and differences of structural characteristics and dimensionalcharacteristics of teachers' class evaluation between novice teachers and experienced teachers are confined.From the point of structural characteristics,both novice teachers and experienced teachers preferred to use three specific statements more;there are some differences.The frequency of the experienced teachers' general statement(33.33%)and comment(33.33%)are obviously higher than novice teachers(13.33%,0%).From the point of dimensional characteristics,both novice teachers and experienced teachers prefer to mention teacher's activities,teaching contents,teaching effects.Both novice teachers and experienced teachers involved few teaching objectives.The frequency of teacher's literacy(80%)that novice teachers involved is obviously higher than the frequency of teacher's literacy(46.67%)that experienced teachers involved.While the frequency of learning activities(13.33%)and learning effects(20%)that novice teachers involved are obviously lower than the frequency of learning activities(53.33%)and learning effects(60%)that experienced teachers involved.T-test indicates that there is significant difference on structural characteristics of class evaluation between novice teachers and experienced teachers(p<0.05).There is significant difference on dimensional characteristics of class evaluation between novice teachers and experienced teachers(p<0.05).3.Teachers' class evaluation are influenced by internal factors and external factors.As for internal factors are concerned,teachers' class evaluation are influenced by teachers' attitudes toward class evaluation and teachers' theoretical knowledge.58.33% of teachers mentioned that the lack of theoretical knowledge had more influence on their class evaluation,and 41.7% of teachers mentioned the importance of correct attitude towards class evaluation.As for external factors are concerned,teachers' class evaluation are influenced by class evaluation training for teachers and cultural environment of school.75% of teachers mentioned that the class evaluation training organized by the school had a greater influence on their class evaluation.
