| This paper analyzes the character images on the cover of Red Books from 1949 to1999 by genealogy method.This paper sums up the genealogy of the revolutionary leader images,the hero model images and the workers,peasants and soldiers images on the cover of Red Book in the 50 years after the founding of new China.And It analyzes the continuity and change,characteristics and connotation of these genealogies.This paper reveals the significance and value of the continuity and change of the images.It also understands and explains the spirit of the times and cultural symbols reflected in the images.This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter mainly elaborates the concept of Red Book and the classification of cover figure images,the research background,the research purpose and significance,the domestic and foreign research summary,the basic content,the research methods and the key points,difficulties and innovations.The second chapter mainly analyzes the genealogy of the image,the genealogy of the Communist Manifesto,the genealogy of the portraits of leaders,the "red sun" genealogy,the genealogy of Mao Zedong Poetry,the wave genealogy,and the genealogy of leaders and people on the covers of revolutionary theory books and biographical books.The third chapter mainly analyzes three kinds of hero images:revolutionary hero,labor model and cadre model,including the genealogy of Xiang Jingyu,Huang Jiguang,Dong Cunrui,Lei Feng,as well as the genealogy of Meng Tai,Wang Jinxi and Jiao Yulu and Kong Fansen.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the genealogies of workers,peasants and soldiers,such as steel workers’ genealogies,women workers’ genealogies,harvest genealogies and marching genealogies.The fifth chapter mainly compares the figure images of Red Book cover with other art images of the same period,and expounds the significance and value of studying the image of Red Book,as well as the reference and inspiration of Red Book images to contemporary book design and red art.This paper holds that the images of people on the cover of Red Book from 1949 to1999 are characterized by large numbers,distinct themes and repetition,which reflects the social and historical connotations of a particular period.The genealogy of images and their specific expressions formed in the development of half a century have formed unique images and their own visual traditions,which are excellent achievements andvaluable wealth in the red art creation.The essence of these images should be integrated into the new tradition of Chinese book culture and image history.It is necessary to study the figure images on the cover of the Red Book to summarize the historical experience of new Chinese fine arts.And it can provide historical experience for the combination of contemporary book design and contemporary politics.At the same time,the genealogy research in this paper also expands the research field and scope of genealogy method. |
