| This article takes the 1949-1999 Chinese books cover fonts as the research object.The article examines the political,cultural and technological social factors and books in the three historical stages of "Seventeen Years"(1949-1966),the Cultural Revolution(1966-1976)and the new period of reform and opening up(1976-1999)after the founding of the People’s Republic of China Design and fonts.The author mainly studies and analyzes the font types,manifestations and design methods of book covers in these three periods,and the contemporary experiences that these historical experiences provide for book design and font design.This article is divided into five chapters: The first chapter expounds the concept of font design,the source and basis of the topic,the significance and value of the thesis,the literature review at home and abroad,the main content and research methods,the key points,the difficulties and the innovation points.The author introduced the general situation of book publishing and book design from 1949 to 1999,analyzed the application of fonts in book covers,and the influence of other elements such as policy,printing and cover on the style design.The third chapter elaborated the "Cultural Revolution " On the book publishing and book design,analysis of the font design of the book cover during the " Cultural Revolution " and its characteristics,as well as the printing technology on the font design;Chapter IV describes the 1976-1999 reform and opening up the new period of publication of books And the general design of the books,analyzed the diversified font design of the book covers and the influence of western art style,computer and Chinese laser printing system on the font design in this period.The fifth chapter combs the fonts design of book cover Changes and style characteristics,changes in the design method of book cover fonts,as well as contemporary China Thinking body design.This article argues that in the 50 years after the founding of our nation,thedesign of book cover has gradually shifted from focusing on functional rational design to visual design focusing on style and artistic expression.The potential of fonts as visual elements has been further developed and released.The spatial and visual characteristics of Chinese characters provide space and many possibilities for font design. |
