The Narrative Of Suffering In Wang Tongzhao’s Novels

Wang Tongzhao is an important writer of Chinese modern literature.He has experienced and deeply observed the troubled nation and society.Wang Tongzhao put the element of suffering into his works,and focused on the writing of suffering life and the expression of depressed struggle mood,which reflected the ideal and belief of facing up to the plight of life and resisting despair.This paper takes Wang Tongzhao’s novels as the main research object,reveals the multiple suffering contained in his novels,and analyzes the artistic strategies of suffering narration,which is mainly divided into three parts: introduction,subject and conclusion.The introduction part mainly discusses the research object of this paper,combs and generalizes the current research situation of Wang Tongzhao’s novels,and puts forward his own research ideas and methods.The main part of the thesis is divided into three chapters,respectively,from different angles of Wang Tongzhao’s novels in the narrative of suffering and analysis.The first chapter discusses the suffering phenomenon in Wang Tongzhao’s novels,and classifies all kinds of suffering phenomena in the text according to the living state and life experience of different characters in his works,which are mainly divided into four categories: the hopeless suffering of the bottom life,the suffering of the weak intellectuals,the suffering of the female fate and the suffering of the war.In the second chapter,the Wang Tongzhao ’s personal life experience and the disillusionment of the ideal of "love and beauty" in the early stage of his creation are discussed.The third chapter analyzes and expounds the artistic strategies of Wang Tongzhao’s suffering narration.Firstly,Wang Tongzhao is good at combining the desolate environment with the cruel personnel,and carries on the proper environmental description according to the development and change of the character’s destiny.Secondly,Wang Tongzhao uses a variety of creative methods to express the suffering of life,such as realism,romanticism,symbolism and so on.The application of different creative methods makes Wang Tongzhao’s suffering background in the text more rich.The concluding part of the thesis summarizes Wang Tongzhao’s personality and personality.
