As the capital of Liaoning Province,located in the center of the Northeast Asian Economic Circle and the Bohai Rim Economic Circle,Shenyang has developed rapidly in recent years and has attracted more and more international students to study Chinese.Therefore,it is extremely important to study Chinese as a second language.At present,many surveys on Second Language Acquisition of Chinese learning strategies at home and abroad have made fruitful achievements,however,few studies have been done on Chinese learning strategies for international students who are from northeast China,especially on oral Chinese learning strategies for this group.The paper investigates the international students of primary Chinese level from four schools in Shenyang(Shenyang University,Liaoning University,Shenyang City College,Shenyang Brave School)to comprehend the use of oral Chinese learning strategies and relevant factors affecting the choice of primary Chinese level learners.After statistics and analysis of related research on learning strategies of Chinese as a second language at home and abroad,the paper adopts the strategies related to oral learning in the Rebecca Qxford Learning Strategy Scale.To investigate the oral strategies of learners at primary Chinese level from four schools in Shenyang and the questionnaire survey is mainly used,interviews and the class observation are used as an auxiliary.The first chapter is an introduction,focusing on an overview of the background,significance and design of this paper,as well as domestic and foreign research on second language learning strategies.The second chapter briefly demonstrates the concepts,related theories of learning strategies and correlative factors that influence the choice of learning strategies.The third chapter is the design andimplementation of questionnaire survey,interview and the class observation for oral Chinese learning strategies.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the results of the questionnaire,interview and the class observation,including the overall and specific use of oral learning strategies and some correlative factors that affect the choice of oral learning strategies.The fifth chapter puts forward some feasible suggestions in the future teaching and learning of oral Chinese for teachers and students.The last chapter is the conclusion.The survey draws a conclusion that the overall usage of oral Chinese learning strategies from high to low by international students in Shenyang at the primary level is memory strategy,social strategy,compensatory strategy,cognitive strategy,affective strategy and meta-cognitive strategy.Factors like gender,cultural background,learning motivation and oral performance all affect the choice of oral learning strategies in different degrees.Among them,male international students use social strategies while female international students use memory strategies most frequently;The affective strategies were least frequently used in the oral learning for African international students,and the meta-cognitive strategies and social strategies were used least frequently in the oral learning for Korean international students;The oral Chinese learning strategies are more frequently used by the international students with direct learning motivation than those with indirect learning motivation;The oral Chinese learning strategies of international students with low oral scores are less frequently used than those with high oral scores.
