| With the rapid development of international society and frequent communication,English has been widely applied to all aspects of human life.It is obvious that English,as a subject in middle school,plays a very important role in compulsory education.Under the constant change of the New Curriculum Standard,teaching mode is also constantly improving.However,there is still a certain gap between the actual teaching and the requirements of the New Curriculum Standard.The indoctrinating teaching mode deprives students of their initiative in learning.This traditional teaching method hinders students’ active thinking,as well as restricts students’ innovative ability.Nowadays,English teachers should think how to teach students and promote students to learn English actively and enhance students’ abilities of language using in practical.This is a question that teachers need to think.This study is based on cognitive theory,constructivism theory,interaction theory and so on.Using the method of experimental research and according to the requirements of the new curriculum standard,this study applies the teaching model of teacher and student’s role transformation to the classroom teaching of middle school English.This study aims to deal with two research questions:1.How can teacher and student’s role transformation improve middle school students’ interest in English learning?2.How can teacher and student’s role transformation improve middle school students’ achievements in English tests ?The participants of this study are 93 students of Grade Seven in an Anqing middle school.The author selected Class Six as the experimental class and Class Five as the control class.The experiment lasted for more than four months.Experimentalteaching method,classroom observation,interview were implemented.The evaluation of effectiveness is based on a questionnaire survey and two English tests before and after the experiment.With the analysis of the relevant data,it is found that the teaching mode of teacher and student’s role transformation has an obvious role in middle school English teaching.This kind of English teaching mode can stimulate students’ initiative and enthusiasm in learning.It also can improve their English and the practical ability of language use.This provides practical guidance for the development of English Teaching in middle school and the new curriculum reform. |
