Explore The Cross-Border Phenomenon Of Chinese Traditional Music From A Ritual View Of Communication

As an important part of the rich treasures of China’s outstanding traditional culture,Chinese traditional music has experienced 5,000 years of changes and vicissitudes,and finally ushered in a spring of innovation and development.Cross-border,as the darling of current artistic creation and practice,has also been used by traditional practitioners of traditional Chinese music to spread and develop traditional Chinese music with the effect like stones from other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one.This attempt undoubtedly adds an impact and newness in the trajectory of music heritage.However,in this cross-border trend,how should Chinese traditional music cross-border be expressed? What is the significance of Chinese traditional music cross-border? And so on,are the issues that our contemporary arts managers and art workers need to think and explore deeply,which are also the focus of attention of the academic community and the industry.This article cuts in from the perspective of the ritual view of communication put forward by American communication scholar James W.Carey.Through the systematic analysis of the theory,this paper studies the current cross-border phenomenon of traditional Chinese music and explores the concept and direction for cross-border innovation of traditional Chinese music,which in order to provide reference for the spread and development of Chinese traditional music and culture.
