| Huan County located in the border zone of Shanxi, Gansu and Ningxia provinces, LongDong Loess Plateau. DaoQing shadow play of Huan County is a unique folk art which combined "DaoQing" and "Shadow Play". "DaoQing" refers to the tone, "Shadow Play" being the form of performance. DaoQing shadow play of Huan County plays history stories and folk tales as its contents, and takes the responsibility more than sacrifices to gods, pray for the pass and redeem a vow.The DaoQing shadow play is a indispensable form of performance on the weddings, funerals or temple fair for local people. Local people use it to express the emotional and feelings.This essay view the performance of DaoQing shadow play of Huan County as a ritual, use the ritual point of view to analysis the three elements of communication--communicators, information, audience. The author uses the fieldwork method to record a performance of DaoQing shadow play by the Heduipo Production Team of Huan County. Through the analysis of the ritual view of the performance,the author thinks that:from the ritual view of communication, the DaoQing shadow play of Huan County no longer being the the process of transfer or access to information, but a get together ritual. Local people barely learned anything from it, but got description and reinforce a particular view of the world. People maintain the relationship, and enhance the stable development of the group. By exploring the cause why DaoQing shadow play of Huan County can keep relation among members, we can come to the conclusion that because of the religious culture, folk belief and the influence of village culture, DaoQing shadow play of Huan County can play a role in keeping relationships among members.On the ritual view of communication, the author brings the research of the Communication of DaoQing shadow play of Huan County back to its original background of culture and faith, which gives a new culture perspective the the research, and with which, people could have a deeper understanding of the existence and development of the DaoQing shadow play. |
