A Study Of Poetic Ideas On The Six Dynasty Of Yang Shen

In the middle of the Ming Dynasty,Yang Shen's praise of the Six Dynasties was unique in the ancient poetry circles.The emergence and shaping of his poetics in the Six Dynasties are closely related to his own study experience and aesthetic orientation,as well as to the poetics thoughts and literary environment in the middle of Ming Dynasty.Yang Shen has shown great interest in the Six Dynasties since he studied in the Hanlin Academy.He has studied and created many Yuefu poems and "Qi Liang Style" poems of the Six Dynasties and has made a preliminary exploration of the poems of the Six Dynasties.After being demoted to Yunnan,Yang Shen concentrated on academic creation.His research on the Six Dynasties is getting deeper and deeper.In addition,he and his followers jointly spoke for the Six Dynasties and even influenced the members of the first seven sons.The poetry circle of Ming Dynasty has been occupied by the trend of retro literature.The advocation of Tang poetry has become the mainstream of poetry circles.The poet blindly studied Tang poetry.However,this practice has led to the formation of a bad style of poetry in the world of poetry,which is characterized by a lack of learning,imitation and innovation.At this time,a general trend of worshipping Confucianism and Zhu was formed in the literary world.A large number of sexual poems have aggravated the tastelessness of poetry.Dissatisfied with this poetic atmosphere,Yang Shen turned his eyes back to the specific stage of the Six Dynasties.Yang Shen's poetics of the Six Dynasties is mainly revealed from the perspectives of status,Criticism and creation.Yang Shen thinks that poets could admire the Tang Dynasty but cannot despise the Six Dynasties.It should be traced back to the budding period of the six dynasties' temperament and pay attention to the formation and development of modern poetry.At the same time,we can't ignore the connection between Ci,Qu and Yuefu in the Six Dynasties.On the other hand,Yang Shen pointed out that "the Han,Wei and Six Dynasties are the peaks of poetry".It is the stage of gestation and development of various forms of poetry.During this period,there were many excellent works of four-character poems,quatrains,five-character rhymes,seven-character rhymes and ancient Yuefu poems,which provided agood model for later poetry creation.While giving the poets of the Six Dynasties a high reputation,Yang Shen also highlighted the pioneering work of the poets of the Six Dynasties in poetry genre and artistic techniques.In his poetry creation,Yang Shen advocated learning from the Six Dynasties,emphasizing emotion as the main factor,artistic style of painting,and controlling strangeness with integrity.However,Yang Shen also pointed out the shortcomings of "gentleness and implication" in the poems of the Six Dynasties.Yang Shen expounded the beauty of poems in the Six Dynasties from the perspective of "art" and made clear the opening significance of poems in the Six Dynasties to Tang poetry.His idea of tracing modern style poetry back to the Six Dynasties is beneficial to reversing the single poetic orientation of the first seven sons and is of great significance to correctly evaluate the value of the Six Dynasties' poetry.Compared with the first seven sons,Yang Shen's poetics of the Six Dynasties is more accessible and objective.It contributed to the formation of the Six Dynasties School in Yunnan and had an important influence on the development of the Six Dynasties School in Jinling.However,there are also some limitations,including the contradiction between "emotion" and "courtesy",the contradiction between "learning from the past" and "learning from the heart".
